‘Hip inner-city location with awesome views’. That’s a good description of the new REA offices in Richmond.

ISM, along with our custom locker division Lockin, were contracted to provide custom joinery and locker facilities throughout the new seven-level office. On the top floor, replete with views of the city CBD and surrounds, ISM created a kitchen/bar. The island bench was constructed with Hoop Pine curved veneer, with inset LED lighting and aluminium trim inset into a Laminex ‘Bayleaf’ laminate front panel. The same laminate was used for cabinetry in the kitchen space, together with Caesarstone “Raw Concrete’ bullnose benchtops.

On levels below, kitchens were created with island benches constructed of Laminex Raw Birchply and topped with Caesarstone Raw Concrete plus a Fibonacci Stone ‘Fatima’s Reflection’ terrazzo high top. Laminex ‘Bayleaf’ laminate was used in accompanying cabinets, shrouded in the Raw Birchply with surrounding aluminium trim.

On each level, offices are complemented with breakout ‘quiet spaces’ for work requiring serious concentration. These spaces feature painted Baux acoustic wall panel with herringbone pattern fitted behind monitors, with side acoustic paneling fitted with Kvadrat Maharam fabric in a rust shade. A feature throughout the offices is the use of magnetic whiteboards as wall dividers, framed with anodised Sapphire Aluminium in a vibrant ‘Chilli’ shade.

The new executive board room features a media wall constructed of acoustic paneling and finished again with the luxe Kvadrat Maharam fabric. The modular media storage cabinet is constructed of Laminex ‘Oyster Grey’ laminate, built between two pieces of bullnose Fibonacci Stone terrazzo.

At the new building’s entrance, ISM created a set of Hoop Pine plywood and upholstered banquet seats, topped overhead by timber ‘roofing’ that amplifies the REA ‘house’ logo in real space.

We’re proud to have delivered a great end result that brings FutureSpace’s vision to life.
